Information we use
Ti-Ratana Institute of Buddhist Studies uses this workspace to administer learning and provide teaching feedback. Sign-in supplies an account identifier, email and display name when available. Profiles store name, date of birth for learners, optional phone number and preferred communication language. Students of all ages may request learning access.
Learning records
We store course membership, submissions, quiz attempts, lesson completion, attendance and discussions. Teachers access their assigned courses; coordinators administer access. Date of birth and phone number are not shown to classmates or on course rosters. Learning records are not published to the public catalogue or Dhamma library. Course discussions are visible to authorised course members. Use fictional examples rather than private personal information.
Sign-in and storage
Google verifies your personal or institutional account. This site does not request or store your Google password. Hosted cloud infrastructure processes and stores records; processing is not guaranteed to take place only in Malaysia. Contact the education team for service-provider and account-administration information.
Notifications
In-app notifications show class activity. Email requires both your opt-in and a configured institutional mail service; opting in does not itself enable delivery. Email notices contain a general activity message and link, rather than grades or submitted work.
Shared accounts and community profiles
Your Ti-Ratana Account connects participating sites. A community profile is optional. Display name, introduction, posts, comments and follow relationships support member discussions. Email, birth date, phone and grades are not shown in the community directory; bookmarks are private. Principal administrators review access and moderators review reports. Community discussion is limited to Dhamma and Ti-Ratana topics. Hidden posts may be retained for moderation. Signing out everywhere revokes connected sessions.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change notification preferences and export your available learning records. Manage passwords through Google. Contact education@ti-ratana.org for corrections, access, closure or removal of a learning account; contact admin@ti-ratana.org for community accounts. Records required for legitimate educational or administrative purposes may be retained under Institute policy. A fixed retention period has not yet been adopted.
